Nearly five years to the day that the legendary BLACK SABBATH announced they would be reforming, the band will play their last show ever in the U.S. November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

This just-announced performance is one of three headlining arena concerts the band has added to the final North American leg of their massive 2016 “The End” world tour. The new shows are November 8 at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma; November 10 at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas; and November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. These dates and the previously announced headlining slot at this year’s 20th anniversary celebration of Ozzfest (Saturday, September 24 at the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest double-header music and lifestyle weekend) come at the end of the band’s North American tour, which kicks off August 17 at Nikon At Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York. The 2016 “The End” world tour and the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest are both produced by Live Nation.

The greatest metal band of all time — Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar) and Geezer Butler (bass) — are currently on tour in Europe for a mix of summer headlining and festival performances, before returning to North America in August. Immediately following the November U.S. shows, BLACK SABBATH will head to Mexico and then South America where they will wrap up their 2016 dates.

BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi said that the band’s farewell tour, which began in January, is truly its last because he is not physically capable of doing it any longer. But he insisted that he would continue to play music. “I just can’t keep going out on these long tours,” he said.

Iommi, who was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2012 and was treated all through SABBATH‘s extensive 2013 world tour, admitted last year that he was worried the rigors of the road could bring the disease back. He revealed: “I don’t want that creeping back again, and all the traveling involved in SABBATH tours increasingly takes its toll. That’s why we’re going out on one last tour, to say our farewells. And then it very definitely is the end. We won’t be doing it again.”

The legendary guitarist continued: “Don’t get me wrong, I still love gigging. It’s all the traveling and the exhaustion that goes with it that’s the problem. That side of things has a big impact on me… I love being up there onstage, playing with SABBATH. What I don’t love is all the other stuff necessary to enable that to happen.”

Iommi was hospitalized last year with back problems, and he still requires blood tests every six weeks to monitor his lymphoma.

Fozzy Saves the World 2023: Baltimore Show Review

Fozzy comes back to Baltimore and brings the rock, the roll and David Arquette.

Chris Jericho and Fozzy always bring a great show with them , this time they had The Nocturnal Affair and Seventh Day Slumber along for the ride .

The Nocturnal Affair is a fun band to watch. A little mix of Dark Goth Rock and alternative industrial is how to explain them. Singer Brendan Shane is a great frontman and knows how to rock out the crowd.

This was my first time seeing Seventh Day Slumber and they didn’t disappoint. The band puts on a great show and singer Joseph Rojas is not only an amazing singer but just an all around great guy. The band has been around since the late 90s and still just puts on an amazing show.

Fozzy was next and the crowd was chanting “Fozzy,Fozzy” all night long. Part rock n roll crowd part wrestling crowd, the fans were ready for experience the “Walls of Jericho”. This band is always fun. The whole band just rocks the whole stage and you can tell that they are having fun. Jericho is a natural born entertainer and just oozes charisma all over the stage.

Billy Grey and Rich Ward are a hoot to watch. Both have so much energy and are bouncing all over the stage , rich even gives PJ a few smooches now and then, and when they rock that guitar solos it’s insane. I love watching the crowd and the little kids who are at the show just enjoying watching  “The Ayatollah of Rock ’N’ Rolla”, with songs like “Drinking with Jesus” and “Judas” the fans go insane.

As I mentioned in the opening statement, as we were leaving the venue after the show, the former WCW Heavyweight Champion David Arquette was coming into the venue to talk to Jericho. David was in town for monstermania horror con weekend and stopped in get a glimpse of Fozzy.
