MOTÖRHEAD's PHIL CAMPBELL Talks About His Guitar Heroes (Video)

Kerrang! has posted a very special interview with MOTÖRHEAD‘s Phil Campbell about his guitar heroes — and it was conducted by the magazine’s very own special guest interviewer, SKUNK ANANSIE‘s Martin “Ace” Kent. Check it out below.

Campbell‘s forthcoming solo album is expected to feature guest appearances by Chris Fehn of SLIPKNOT, JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford and UGLY KID JOE vocalist Whitfield Crane.

Asked by Headbangers Lifestyle at the end of last year if there are any plans for him to write an autobiography or have a film made about his life, Campbell responded: “I don’t want a film about my life; no way. I’m working on a book of the funny stuff. I don’t want a life story; I just want the funny stuff. [It’s] gotta be documented, ’cause some of it’s pretty bizarre and unbelievable. It’s totally funny, though. [It’s a book about] my experiences. It’s what would normally not happen if you weren’t in this band.”

Regarding when fans can expect to see his book released, Campbell said: “I’m seriously working on it now in January. It’ll be a year or two [before it comes out], but it’ll be worth it.”

MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister died last December — only two days after learning that he was afflicted with an aggressive form of cancer.
