Former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Lero is currently in stable condition after being involved in a serious bus crash that occurred in Sydney, Australia. According to Australia’s 9 News, two men were unloading a tour van when a vehicle crashed into the back of it, sending two men to the hospital. Another man was treated at the scene.

Lero has provided an update to his fans and revealed he is in “stable” condition, while still in a “state of shock”.

“Thanks for all the well wishes. We’re pretty banged up but miraculously alive and in stable condition. I’m still in a state of shock.”

My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way shared concerns online about his longtime bandmate: “I awoke to some very upsetting, sad, and serious news. Heartbroken. I know just as much as all of you but I hope the continued outpouring of love, well wishes, and support help. Make sure to hug the ones you care about. Sending all my love to Frank and the boys.”

Frank lero and The Patience were set to perform at Sydney’s Metro Theater but due to the crash and their subsequent injuries, the show was cancelled. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for testing. The investigation is ongoing.
