NIKKI SIXX Slams Music Press For Focusing On 'Drama' In MÖTLEY CRÜE's New Concert Film
Nikki Sixx has accused the music press of focusing on the “drama” behind MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s final tour and not celebrating the “beauty” of the band’s last-ever performance, as captured in the group’s new concert movie.
Sixx made headlines this past week when he echoed Tommy Lee‘s recent comments about not seeing his MÖTLEY CRÜE bandmates since their farewell tour ended in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve.
In “The End”, the movie documenting that night, Nikki said: “We don’t hang out now. We go on stage like madmen. But we don’t hang out. We don’t go to dinner, we don’t go to each other’s houses for Christmas. We’re not enemies, but we’re not friends. I’ll probably never see them, except in passing.”
And Vince Neil added: “The hardest part about being in MÖTLEY CRÜE is being in MÖTLEY CRÜE. I don’t know if other bands of our stature go through some of the crap that we go through. That’s just the tough part. Being onstage and doing that stuff, that’s just the easy part.”
Now, in a new statement posted on his Facebook page, Sixx took the press to task for trying to stir up controversy with its coverage of the film’s release, explaining that “there is a whole story here to be told through music and lyrics.”
Said Sixx: “MÖTLEY CRÜE has always been about passion. We did things our way and ended it honestly ‘our way.’
“The press has obviously seen a screener of our last show, ‘The End’, and is only using the parts of interviews that push drama for them and aren’t concerned with the millions of fans and the beauty of our last show together. You can’t wrap up a 35-year career with a couple soundbites to get attention for your websites and programming.
“‘The End’ is a combination of everybody’s hard from production people, crews, managers, agents and the band but the most important aspect is the fans. There is a whole story here to be told through music and lyrics. Can’t wait for it to come out so we can get back to the music and show.”
“The End” will be screened in selected theaters on June 14, with a DVD release expected later. The 140-minute film includes footage from the CRÜE‘s farewell show on December 31, 2015 at the Staples Center along with “exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the last week of the tour.”

Fozzy Saves the World 2023: Baltimore Show Review
Fozzy comes back to Baltimore and brings the rock, the roll and David Arquette.
Chris Jericho and Fozzy always bring a great show with them , this time they had The Nocturnal Affair and Seventh Day Slumber along for the ride .
The Nocturnal Affair is a fun band to watch. A little mix of Dark Goth Rock and alternative industrial is how to explain them. Singer Brendan Shane is a great frontman and knows how to rock out the crowd.
This was my first time seeing Seventh Day Slumber and they didn’t disappoint. The band puts on a great show and singer Joseph Rojas is not only an amazing singer but just an all around great guy. The band has been around since the late 90s and still just puts on an amazing show.
Fozzy was next and the crowd was chanting “Fozzy,Fozzy” all night long. Part rock n roll crowd part wrestling crowd, the fans were ready for experience the “Walls of Jericho”. This band is always fun. The whole band just rocks the whole stage and you can tell that they are having fun. Jericho is a natural born entertainer and just oozes charisma all over the stage.
Billy Grey and Rich Ward are a hoot to watch. Both have so much energy and are bouncing all over the stage , rich even gives PJ a few smooches now and then, and when they rock that guitar solos it’s insane. I love watching the crowd and the little kids who are at the show just enjoying watching “The Ayatollah of Rock ’N’ Rolla”, with songs like “Drinking with Jesus” and “Judas” the fans go insane.
As I mentioned in the opening statement, as we were leaving the venue after the show, the former WCW Heavyweight Champion David Arquette was coming into the venue to talk to Jericho. David was in town for monstermania horror con weekend and stopped in get a glimpse of Fozzy.
