If you’re a metal fan, this video will make you feel good. For those saying the genre is dying, you need to see this video. Slipknot rolled in to Lima, Peru last night for a scheduled performance this evening and they were greeted at the airport by thousand of screaming fans.

In a scene usually reserved for the Justin Biebers’ of the world, (or any of the biggest pop stars on the planet) thousand of ear screeching Slipknot fans lined the inside and outside of the airport where the band had just arrived. Police had to put up multiple barricades to allow the band to safely make it. You could see people in the audience holding up pictures of Corey Taylor in the crowd.

This is reminiscent of the days when boy bands like Nsync and the Backstreet Boys would shut down Times Square in New York City when they showed up for TRL — except it’s totally awesome because it’s METAL! Seriously, people are lined up for what seems like a mile across the street. This is good news for metal and definitely good news for Slipknot.

Corey Taylor was equally blown away by the love from his fans and shared this video to his Twitter profile.
