Iron Man Band Last Show Review

Together for an amazing man. We gave our support.
Maryland Doom Metal Legend Alfred Morris III passed away on January 10th 2018. Al was the creator and driving force for the Maryland Doom Metal band Iron Man Band.
Tonight was an emotional night for the remaining members of the band singer Dee “Screaming Mad” Calhoun, Bassist Louis “Lou” Strachan and Drummer Jason “Mot” Waldmann. Filling in for Al (which was some really big shoes to fill) was Guitarist Bill Miskowitz of Wrath of Typhon. This would be the last time Iron Man would hit the stage together and even though it was a cold snowy and slush filled night, the fans came out to remember Al and this band one last time.
Opening up with The Fury Bills guitar pedal had a small mishap, which we all contributed to Al being with us that night. Bill killed it though, and Al would have been proud of him. Dee who if you never have seen this man ever perform it’s a shame, hands down one of the best vocalist to ever hit the stage anywhere. With death growls to high pitched screams and vocals Dee is in my opinion a vocal god with the likes of Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson.
Lou kills on the bass with his onstage performance to match his intensity. Pounding it all up “Mot” just destroys the drums. It’s so hard that this amazing band will never perform together again, but all that have seen them have been blessed with such an amazing array of talent.
All of us fans Miss you dearly Al and your legacy will never be forgotten or matched. At least we know that you’re in some good company up there in heaven and teaching them a lesson or two. IRON MAN FOREVER
If anyone wants to help the family with donations please go the link. Let us all remember such a light that Al was.

Ashes to Omens “Feed Me More”
Ashes To Omens are a band from Georgia who’s latest single “Feed Me More” has a great sound to it. It reminds me of bands around the mid to late 2000s. They have a good mixture of sound. The song is a perfect blend of hard rock and metal with the vocals very crisp and delivered with passion.
The song “Feed Me More” has a great melody and works well with the bands style and genre of music. It also is a great title to a song because after listening to it I wanted more of the band.
Some will say that it’s very radio rock/metal and sometimes I do have issues with that but I felt that this song even though it does have that feel to it, isn’t just a radio rock song for the sake of being a radio rock song. I think this single is worth a listen to and could possibly be a track that might make your playlist.

DEVILSKIN “Barracuda”
Anyone who knows me, knows I have a huge soft spot for the band “Heart”. Of course Barracuda is an amazing song and has been covered by other artists before and when it comes to those covers I’m very critical to the vocals, nobody can touch Ann Wilson’s vocals on that track but I always love to hear a great cover.
New Zealand’s DevilSkin cover is one of those that I feel is a top tier cover. Vocalist JENNIE SKULANDER has an amazing voice and I feel that it works very well to this song. I love the heavy ending to the song, it gave it that heavy edge to it that most covers of the song don’t have.
If you’re a fan of the song, I would highly recommend checking out the video and giving this cover a listen.

Collective Soul “7EVEN YEAR ITCH” Greatest Hits 1994-2001 Vinyl
I’ve always been a big fan of Collective Soul and have been lucky to have seen them a few times. This band has always been in my music mixes since the 1990s.
The vinyl release is exactly what you would want for a greatest-hits album. All the best songs that collective soul had from 1994–2001 If you were a teenager or an adult in the 90s, you can’t tell me that you didn’t jam out to songs like “Shine,” “Gel,” and “December.”
With other great songs like “Heavy,” “Run,” “The World I Know,” and “Forgiveness,” This greatest hit album sounds amazing on vinyl as well. Craft Recordings has done a really great job of keeping the magic and sound of these amazing songs.
The sleeve cover has some cool photos of the band throughout the years. This vinyl just came out in Collective Soul fashion in December, and is ready to be part of your vinyl collection, and just brings you back to a great time in life.
